Each tyre valve stem has a Sensor capable of measuring tyre pressure and temperature in real-time. The Sensors send data through to the Dashboard receiver and display the tyre pressures and temperatures on the screen.

There are 2 parts to the fitment of the TPMS namely;

1. The 4 Sensors - Fitment centres are trained to fit these type of tyre pressure monitoring Sensors that replace the 4 standard valve stems and are similar to the sensors found on BMW's, Mini's and Merc's these days. The Sensor fitment and wheel balancing takes about One hour for 4 wheels.

2. The Dashboard display unit is supplied with a cigarette lighter power input as well as a permanent 12 volt connection, 12 V permanent connection is recommended as this will indicate a detected 'overnight' flat tyre before the vehicle is driven the following morning.

Tyre temperature and pressure alarms on the 4 Wheel Road (201-D) and 6 Wheel road (201-E) TPMS are not fixed as the base tyre pressure can be set by the User.

The visual and audible alarms on the  On/Off Road 201-s TPMS are as follows;

  1. Low tyre pressure warning (below 0.8 Bar in off road mode, 1.9 Bar in Road mode)
  2. High tyre pressure warning (above 3.8 Bar)
  3. High temperature warning (above 80 deg C)
  4. Slow leak (a slow pressure drop over a few days)
  5. Fast leak puncture.
